FAQ about Doulas

Services: We will plan to meet once before your "guess" date to get to know each other and talk about what you want for your birth.

When you are in labor, I will meet you at home or in the hospital and stay with you throughout your labor. I will stay with you for one to two hours after your baby is born, until you get settled in. I am also a breastfeeding counselor and can help you get breastfeeding off to a good start.

During the first week or two after you go home I will visit to talk about your birth and to help make sure breastfeeding is going well. 

I will be available to you by phone from the time you hire me until after your baby is born.

Fees: Total cost $500.

Phone consults are free until the time we meet to go over and sign a contract.

At the time you hire me to attend your birth, a non refundable retaining fee of $100 is due. 

The remaining $400 is due two weeks before your "guess" date. 

For clients who have attended my six week childbirth class and wish to hire me as a doula the total cost for doula services is $400.

Backup: I work closely with Jody Swank as a back up doula. She covers for me when necessary as well as weekly from Friday at 4pm until Saturday at 4pm.
