Birth Stories and More

  • What's a doula and where can I find one?
  • Can I have a home birth in Alabama?
  • Where do I find a childbirth class outside of a hospital?
  • How do I increase my chances of having an empowering birth experience?

If you are wondering about such topics,

you want to come to a Birth Stories meeting!

We meet the second Tuesday of every month at the YWCA

************************

We believe that birth is a normal process

and a significant life event for every couple.

We believe that all women should have access to

evidence-based, quality maternity care.

We support the Midwives Model of Care and the

Mother Friendly Childbirth Initiative.

Our mission is to be a free resource for information

about evidence-based maternity care,

normal childbirth, and breastfeeding,

so that parents can make fully informed decisions

for themselves and their babies.

************************

Join us for free monthly brown-bag lunch meetings

to share birth stories and to provide information

about childbirth options in Birmingham
